Zozulya, Grigory Stepanovich
(b. 1893 Kiev – d. 1973 Palanga, Lithuania)
Painter, graphic artist and theater set and costume designer
1907–1918 – Studied at the Stroganov Central Higher College of Art and Industry in Moscow, being taught by V. Yegorov and A. Shchusev, simultaneously worked for theaters in Moscow, Petrograd (the then name of St. Petersburg), Minsk, and other cities.
1916 – Began to show his works at exhibitions.
1919–1922 – A member of A. Rodchenko’s studio in Moscow.
1925–1926 – A member of D. Kardovsky’s studio, also in Moscow.
1929 – A member of the Bytiye (Existence) association.
1922–1927 – A member of teams that decorated Moscow streets for public holidays celebrating the Bolshevik revolution.
1939 – Worked as a decorator at the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VSKhV) in Moscow.
World War II years: Evacuated to Tashkent, where he worked as a designer at a local theater.
