Lev Aronov Timeline.

1909 – Lev Ilyich Aronov is born in the town of Gomel.

1925 – 1930 Aronov studies at the pictorial and decorative art department of the Leningrad School for the Encouragement of the Arts.

1933  Aronov becomes member of the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSKh)

1934  One of Aronov’s works is shown at the “Exhibition of Young Beginner Artists”. Thereafter, Aronov will take part in various exhibitions held in Moscow.

late 1930s  Aronov takes part in the Group of Five, together with Lev Zevin, Aron Rzheznikov, Mikhail Dobroserdov and Abram Peysakhovich.

1941  Aronov joins the army, but is dismissed for health reasons.

1941-1945  Aronov teaches on and off at the Moscow Art School named for the 1905 Revolution. Works for the TASS press agency designing propaganda posters.

1958 Aronov becomes deeply interested in linocut techniques.

1957-1964 Aronov is a member of the Arts Council of the Mass Production Art Factory

1957-1972 Aronov works for the Historical and Cultural Heritage Preservation Society.

1972 – Lev Ilyich Aronov dies in Moscow.
