Linocut and autolithography hold a special place in the artistic career of Leonid Zusman. Without actually specializing in these techniques,  Zusman created remarkably expressive and poetic prints, usually reproducing or slightly varying the composition and subject matter of his larger-scale paintings. For instance, this includes  his linocuts “The Dream”  (from the “Past Time” series), “Spring on Bolshaya Polyanka”, “In the Room”, “The Window” and “South-West”.  Only very few impressions were taken of each work, and within one edition the impressions sometimes come in different colour variations.  The published works date from the late sixties and the seventies.
